When it comes to the family budget it can be hard to prioritize family portraits. As a photographer, I invest in images of my family every year. I want my kids to have photos of us a family for years to come. But just because you make it a priority doesn’t mean you have to break the bank. Here are a few tips for making a annual or semi annual session a reality.
- Figure out what your needs are
If you know you want to do a fall session or annual session, the easiest thing is to budget it in for the year. Saving a little throughout the year means your prepared when your session comes around and you can purchase all the files or update your gallery wall in your home. If you’re expecting and know you’ll want to capture all their milestones, you can add photography to your baby shower wishlist.
2. Share!
I send referral credit to every client who refers friends and family after they have booked. It’s a simple way to earn credit for your next session!
3. Take advantage of Mini Session Dates!
I provide mini session dates throughout the year that gives my clients the opportunity to get beautiful images of their families at a lower price. Schedule your session in advance as these sessions fill up quickly, especially in the fall months!
I hope these tips are helpful to get you to your goal of capturing your family as it grows and changes.
